We take you to many places and explain, in your own language, the history of each of the tourist attractions. These are our tours and the reasons why we say they are the best choice

Our tours Lisbon and surroundings

We offer you four different Tours Lisbon and its surroundings. Each one is unique and teaches you a different Lisbon. They are unrivalled experiences, which will help you take away the fondest memories of your visit to the Portuguese capital.

Below, we will tell you about each of the four paid tours we have prepared for you. If your visit is short, you will have tochoose from one of the four options shown below. If you plan to spend several days, you may want to do them all. Whatever decision you make, what is certain is that you will not regret it.

Tour of Alfama

Choose the tour to Alfama is a journey to the origins of the city.. Today, the Alfama district is considered one of the most traditional places in the city. Its streets, which began as the humble dwellings of fishermen, are now a unique tourist attraction.

The origins of this part of Lisbon are lost in time. Our guide will tell you what is known about the history from Roman times to the present day, passing through Visigothic, Arab and medieval occupations.

We will take you through streets full of shops and cafes to the top. When you get there you will enjoy the view from the fortress that overlooks the city, St. George’s Castle. But not only that, you will also get to know other emblematic places. For example, you will see Sé de Lisboa – the Cathedral -, the Santa Luzia viewpoint, the Jewish Quarter, the Aljube and Limoeiro Prison, the Portas do Sol viewpoint, the St. Esteban viewpoint or the Graça viewpoint.

Tour of Belém by boat

This is a mixed tour, where you will enjoy a boat trip and to see some of Lisbon’s most emblematic architectural monuments. The boat will take you along the Tagus tothe Belém neighbourhood.

Our official guide will explain everything you see from the boat. He will tell you about the seafaring history of the city and the importance of the defensive constructions built on the banks of the river. Once on land, you will enjoy visiting emblematic places such as the Jerónimos Monastery or the Belém Tower.

Fado Tour

One of the main attractions when you visit Portugal is its culture; The way of life of the people of Lisbon, their traditions, their gastronomy or their music, are distinctive features that make this city so special. With this tour we will show you what the people of Lisbon are like;

The tour starts with a tour from la Praça do Rossio hasta Mouraria. Along the way, our guide will tell you about what you will see when you arrive in this traditional quarter. Urban art is everywhere, which is a sign of the Lisboners’ need to express themselves, as well as their strong artistic character.

You’ll find yourself wandering through very narrow streets, with a marked medieval style, but full of street art. The narrow streets full of history. They are labyrinthine in design and the houses that were once inhabited by the Arabs, today clash radically with the works of young, carefree people who express their art in every corner.

When you arrive in Mouraria you will be introduced to Lisbon’s most widespread taste in music. Fado is an important part of their lives and is appreciated by young and old alike. It is common to see people sitting quietly, with a musical instrument in their hands, making music or singing loudly. Each one finds his inspiration in a different place and shows his melancholy in every corner.

But, although Fado is something inherent to all Portuguese, there have been remarkable artists who have taken their music beyond the Portuguese borders. These are what our guide will tell you about when you arrive at the Rua do Capelao, a Walk of Fame where you can see a photographic exhibition dedicated to the greatest of this unique popular music.

To conclude this tour, we will take you to a typical Lisbon restaurant, where you will enjoy the rich Portuguese gastronomy and see a live show with the Portuguese favourite music, fado.

Full excursion to Sintra

Sintra is a town near Lisbon. It is approximately 30 kilometres from our meeting point. The right place to meet us, is the Pedro IV Square (Rossio). From there we will move by bus to reach this town that served as a resting place for the Portuguese royalty.

Sintra has long been a favourite second home for the aristocracy. The green areas and spectacular views have been some of the reasons why Portuguese personalities, such as prince Ferdinand II, they decided to build luxurious palaces. The majestic building commissioned by this prince, the Pena Palace, has been considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. We’ll take you to see it!

We will also show youla Quinta da Regaleira. This mystical space consists of an emblematic palatial building, majestic gardens and a mysterious moat dedicated to Masonic initiation and accessed by a spiral staircase.

The Quinta da Regaleira palace and its surroundings are full of symbols. They relate to the particular religious interpretation of Christianity by its original owner, Dr. António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro. Symbols can also be seen that have to do with the political ideals of its creator. He probably decided to build in this particular place taking advantage of the mysticism of the nearby Monte da Lua.
