TRAVEL TO THE AGE OF DISCOVERIESBELÉM FREE WALKING TOUR | FREE | MONDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
PRAÇA DO COMÉRCIO, LISBOA | 10:30 AM | LOOK FOR THE BLUE UMBRELLA | MINIMUM GROUP 4 PEOPLE
Once in Belém we will discover the magnificent Afonso Albuquerque Square and the old Royal Palace, now Palace of the Republic.
You should know that is a tour with a sweet touch, where the custard tarts of Belém are also protagonists, so we will have a break for you to taste it. And then, we will stop by the Jeronimos Monastery, so you can be fascinated by it’s elegance and majesty of the Manuelino Art.
We will dig deeper into the history of the Age of Discoveries and with the help of “Rosa dos Ventos”, the Rose of the Winds we will get to know the power that the once largest Empire on the planet had. And of course we will go to the tower of Belém, a World Heritage site, to get into the clothes of the sailors that were willing to launch themselves into the unknown dark sea to discover and open new commercial sea routes.
Legends, betrayals, conquests and history awaits! Would you like to join?
